CBD FAQs

Is CBD legal?

Lullaby Luxury © does not manufacture, distribute or sell any product that violates the UK ‘Misuse of Drugs Act 1971’. THC levels in our products are below or equal to the legal limits according to UK law. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that they are in compliance with local legislation. The content of this website has not been evaluated by the FSA or MHRA and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease.

Will CBD make you high?

No! CBD interacts with cannabinoid receptors in the human brain differently than THC, the chemical responsible for cannabis intoxication.

Is CBD Safe?

CBD has been considered safe by many experts, scientists, researchers, and organizations. While CBD is a compound derived from the cannabis plant, it won’t get users “high”. The World Health Organization (WHO) reported that CBD does not show effects of any abuse or dependence potential in humans.

All our hemp extracts are third-party tested to confirm there are no contaminants such as heavy metals, pesticides, herbicides, or organic matter like mold or bacteria.

What does using CBD feel like?

CBD sensations vary from user to user. Some of the most-reported effects are a sense of calm and a lessening of sensations of pain or nausea. CBD does not alter users’ grasps on reality or create an euphoric or anxious high.

Does CBD help you sleep?

Research published in 2019 looked at whether CBD could improve sleep and or reduce anxiety. The study involved 72 subjects, with 47 experiencing anxiety and 25 experiencing poor sleep. The subjects were each given 25 milligrams (mg) of CBD in capsule form each day. In the first month, 79.2 percent of the patients reported lower anxiety levels and 66.7 percent reported better sleep.

How much CBD should I take?

The benefits of CBD occur with consistent use over a period of time. We recommend starting with 2-3 drops three times daily. Start with a low dosage and slowly increase over time until desired therapeutic effects are reached.

Full Spectrum vs CBD Isolate?

Simply put, full-spectrum oil is the process of taking the entire plant and extracting everything from it. Studies have repeatedly shown that full spectrum extracts outperform CBD isolate by a long shot. You get the full benefits of all the cannabinoids, terpenes, and waxes in addition to the CBD. Full spectrum oil contains trace amounts of THC (less than 0.2%).

What is a carrier oil?

A carrier or base oil, acts as the solvent to dissolve the compounds of the hemp plant. We use hemp seed oil which is arguably one of the best carrier oils for CBD. Many experts argue hemp seed oil can enhance the entourage of effects of CBD due to the presence of hemp-produced phytochemicals. Hemp seed oil is a popular health supplement on its own.

What does CBD strength mean?

A large bottle containing a lot of oil does not mean there is a lot of CBD inside. You should only be interested in one thing, which is how much CBD is in a product.

For example let’s compare a 10ml bottle and a 30ml bottle, both have 2000mg of CBD. The 30ml bottle will require three times as many drops as the 10ml bottle for the same amount of CBD. Don’t buy based on volume, buy based on CBD strength in the product.

We often feel like we’re getting more for our money with a larger bottle, but all you’re getting is extra carrier oil which you might as well buy at the supermarket.

Will CBD cause a false positive on a drug test?

You won’t fail a drug test for CBD, but you could potentially fail a drug test for any residual THC in that CBD product. Our full-spectrum oil contains less than 0.2% THC.

Although highly unlikely, there may be a slight chance of a false positive for THC on a drug test. We’d recommend speaking to your employer prior to a test being administered to let them know about the situation of using a full spectrum CBD oil.

Where do you source your hemp and CBD?

Our products are sourced from organic, high-quality Industrial Hemp cultivated on environmentally conscious and sustainable land in the Netherlands.

What is your manufacturing process?

We are GMP certified which means every step of production is monitored, registered, tested and supervised. GMP standards have been developed to make sure products are produced at a pharmaceutical grade.

– The drape of natural silk is lighter, more delicate and subtle than synthetic silk;
– Real silk is capable of perspiring, unlike synthetic silk.

Diffuser FAQs

What is an ultrasonic diffuser and how does it work?

A diffuser is used to release essential oils into the air. An ultrasonic diffuser uses water and electricity to create vibrations (ultrasonic waves), releasing pure, essential oil molecules quickly into the air through a fine, cooling mist.

The ultrasonic diffuser does not use a direct or open flame like burners, so you can enjoy aromatherapy benefits in the comfort of your home or office. It’s a light, portable device which is simple and easy to use. Simply refill the water, add a few drops of oil and use over and over again.

What materials are used to make the diffusers?

We pride ourselves on providing high quality and safe materials for all our diffusers. They feature handmade ceramics with bases made of BPA-free PET.

How do I use the diffuser?

  • Connect to power
  • Carefully fill the water tank
  • Add 3-5 drops of essential oil to the water
  • Light Control: 3 modes – soft warm light, bright warm light, off
  • Mist Control: 3 modes – continuous (runtime 3-4 hours), 30-second intervals (runtime 7 hours), off

How do I care for my diffuser?

Cleaning your diffuser after every use

  1. Unplug and empty the diffuser of any oil or water.
  2. Use a damp cloth with a small amount of detergent to wipe down the insides of the water tank. This will remove oil residue.
  3. Similarly wipe down the outside of the diffuser.
  4. Rinse with a cloth or sponge dampened with clean water and leave to dry.

Cleaning your diffuser every 1-2 months

  1. Unplug and empty the diffuser of any oil or water.
  2. Fill the diffuser halfway to the max. Fill the line with tap water.
  3. Add 10 drops of white vinegar to the water and run the diffuser to clear any internal oil build-up. Run for 5 minutes.
  4. Unplug and empty the diffuser.
  5. Use a clean cotton swab dipped in vinegar to scrub tight spots inside of the water tank and remove any lingering oil deposits.
  6. Rinse with a cloth or sponge dampened with clean water and leave to dry.

Essential Oils FAQs

Are your essential oils 100% pure?

All of our Pure Essential Oils are of a high quality standard and 100% pure, free from additives, fillers or dilutions.

Can I ingest essential oils?

Essential oils are highly concentrated and powerful oils, and have the ability to cause serious harm if ingested without the necessary expertise required – for this reason, ingestion of essential oils is NOT recommended for the general public.

Can I apply essential oils on my skin?

Carrier oils are needed as pure essential oils may be too strong to be used directly on the skin. Common carrier oils include jojoba, coconut, grapeseed and almond oil. The dilution ratio varies according to the purpose and the type of oil used.

Can I use the oils on my baby or while pregnant?

Some essential oils are not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women and are unsuitable for babies. Please consult your health professional before use.

How long will one bottle last?

There are approximately 200 drops of oils in a 10mL essential oil bottle. Using 4-5 drops per use, one of our 10mL bottles will last around 40-50 uses.

Where should I store my essential oils?

Keep oils in a cool dry place. To avoid oxidation and moisture, keep the lid on the bottles when you are not using them.

Where do your oils come from?

Our oils are sourced across the world from local growers and harvesters and are guaranteed organic.
